Los miembros del conjunto musical de Los Tigres del Norte anunciaron que participarán en la conmemoración del Bicentenario de la Independencia, además de que serán parte de la Cátedra del Corrido que se realizará en el próximo año.
Jorge Hernández, líder de la agrupación, apuntó que “ahora estamos haciendo unas cosas para presentarlas con todos nuestros grandes amigos, varios programas, que no puedo hablar de ello porque tenemos un contrato, pero empezamos a trabajar en ello a partir de enero”.
Explicó además que tienen una agenda saturada de presentaciones en la República Mexicana, Estados Unidos y Centroamérica, misma que esperan concluír el próximo 20 de diciembre.
La agrupación, creadora de temas como La granja y Contrabando y traición señaló: “Tenemos varias conferencias en diversos países sobre el corrido, el próximo año va a ser la Cátedra del Corrido, aún no sabemos donde pero es un compromiso muy grande con la música”.
Respecto a la polémica provocada por la censura en los premios Lunas del Auditorio Nacional, Hernández dijo: “Ya nos dieron el premio, hablaron con nosotros de los errores que hubo y todo está solucionado, gracias a Dios y adelante, vamos a seguir adelante”.
Añadió que viajarán de nuevo a España el próximo año ,luego de presentar en esa nación su más reciente producción discográfica La granja “iremos en junio o agosto y hay proyectos interesantes para el extranjero y el 2010”.
